Position Summary
The position is for local
The Communication and Knowledge Management Officer will play a key role in
supporting the Project Management Unit (PMU) in the following functions:
- Develop and implement a national-level project coordination mechanism linking the Cambodia GEM child project with the GEM Global Program;
- Contribute experiences, lessons learned, and knowledge to the global program's knowledge management platform;
- Manage communications and ensure the visibility of the GEM Cambodia project; and
- Implement the Gender Action Plan to mainstream gender throughout project activities
Duties & Responsibilities
- Develop and implement the project’s communication and knowledge management plan.
- Prepare and disseminate communication materials, success stories, case studies, reports, and digital content.
- Collect, document, and share project knowledge, lessons learned, and best practices.
- Support workshops, events, awareness campaigns, and stakeholder outreach.
- Manage project information through websites, social media, and other communication channels.
- Coordinate communication and knowledge-sharing activities with UNDP, the Ministry of Environment, GEF, and project partners.
- Monitor and report on communication, knowledge management, and visibility activities.
- Ensure compliance with UNDP and GEF communication and visibility requirements.
Languages
- English - Fluent is preferred
Qualifications
- Master's Degree in University degree (Bachelor's degree, or Master's degree preferred) in Communications, Journalism, Social Science, Environmental Management, Development Studies, Public Administration, Business Administration, or a related field is preferred
General & Technical Skills
- Strong communication, writing, and interpersonal skills in Khmer and English.
- Good knowledge management, documentation, and reporting skills.
- Experience developing communication and digital content.
- Strong presentation and event coordination skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and social media platforms.
- Knowledge of environment, circular economy, and e-waste management is an advantage.
- Good teamwork, coordination, and organizational skills.
