Position Summary

The position is for international

The International Professional Writer will play a key role in supporting the Project

Management Unit (PMU) in the following functions:

  1. Produce GEM human interest stories
  2. Create content for events
  3. Promote project stories
  4. Support the overall coordination and management of Outcome 4.2

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Develop and edit high-quality project documents, reports, and publications.
  • Prepare success stories, case studies, and knowledge products.
  • Ensure clear, consistent, and professional English writing and editing.
  • Support the documentation and dissemination of project results, lessons learned, and best practices.
  • Coordinate with the project team and stakeholders to collect and verify information.
  • Ensure communication products meet UNDP/GEF standards and requirements.

Languages

  • English - Fluent is preferred

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Journalism, Communications, English, or a related field. is preferred

General & Technical Skills

  • Excellent English writing, editing, and proofreading skills.
  • Strong research, analytical, and communication skills.
  • Experience in developing reports, publications, case studies, and knowledge products.
  • Ability to translate complex technical information into clear, accessible content.
  • Good understanding of environment, circular economy, e-waste, and sustainable development.
  • Strong digital communication and documentation skills.
  • Experience working with international organizations and development projects is an advantage.
