Position Summary

Reports To: Audit Manager / Audit Partner

We are looking for a highly skilled and analytical Senior Auditor to join our team in Phnom Penh. In this role, you will lead and execute audit engagements, evaluate internal controls of clients, ensure compliance with Cambodian regulations (including GDT tax laws), and deliver actionable recommendations to management.

Duties & Responsibilities

• Audit Planning & Execution:
• Lead end-to-end financial, operational, and compliance audit assignments in accordance with professional auditing standards.
• Conduct risk-based audit programs, tailored testing procedures, and work schedules.
• Conduct detailed field testing, analyze financial data, and evaluate internal control systems.
• Reporting & Advisory:
• Draft clear, concise, and structured audit reports highlighting control weaknesses, risks, and recommended corrective actions.
• Present audit findings and recommendations to management and audit committees, where possible.
• Compliance & Governance:
• Ensure full compliance with Cambodian Law on Accounting and Auditing, Cambodian Financial Reporting Standards (CIFRS/CIFRS for SMEs/CFRS for NFPEs), and applicable tax regulations.
• Identify potential risk areas, fraud indicators, or operational inefficiencies.
• Team Leadership & Mentorship:
• Supervise, guide, and review the work of Junior Audit Associates.
• Provide continuous feedback and support team development.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, Auditing, or a related field.

General & Technical Skills

• Active progress toward or completion of professional qualifications such as ACCA or
• 2 to 4 years of audit experience in mid-tier audit firms. Experience with Big 4 is a plus
• In-depth knowledge of Cambodian Financial Reporting Standards (CIFRS/CIFRS for SMEs/CFRS for NFPEs) and Cambodian tax regulations.
• Strong proficiency in MS programs (word, excel, powerpoint, etc.)
• Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP) is a plus.
• Fluency in Khmer and strong professional working proficiency in English (both written and spoken).
