- Master or Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Public Relations, Communications, or a related field.
- 4–6+ years of combined experience across business development, corporate sales, strategic partnerships, and public relations (agency or in-house).
- Demonstrated history of closing high-value commercial deals alongside an established network of media, press, and key industry contacts.
- Exceptional written, editorial, press-pitching, executive negotiation, and public speaking skills.
- Proven ability to balance immediate revenue targets with long-term brand storytelling and corporate reputation management.
Position Overview
The Business Development & Public Relations (BD & PR) Manager will lead both revenue growth and brand reputation initiatives. This hybrid role bridges strategic sales, partnership acquisition, corporate storytelling, and media relations. The ideal candidate will leverage PR channels to open new commercial doors while simultaneously converting high-level industry relationships into long-term strategic partnerships and sustainable business opportunities.
Key Responsibilities
- Research and target new commercial opportunities, expanding markets, and strategic partnership avenues to drive organizational growth.
- Oversee the full business development lifecycle—from initial prospecting and lead qualification to contract negotiation and closing.
- Prepare and present customized business proposals, pitch decks, and commercial agreements to prospective partners and C-suite decision-makers.
- Align PR initiatives directly with revenue goals by converting high-visibility brand campaigns into qualified inbound leads and alliance opportunities.
- Design and execute end-to-end public relations strategies that enhance corporate visibility, credibility, and long-term brand equity.
- Draft and pitch press releases, feature stories, and brand announcements to target media outlets, journalists, publishers, and key industry influencers.
- Serve as the primary media contact and official spokesperson, ensuring consistent corporate brand positioning across all channels.
- Proactively manage potential brand risks and oversee crisis communications protocols to safeguard the company’s public image and market reputation.
- Represent the company at trade shows, industry conferences, networking events, and media roundtables to expand the corporate footprint.
- Secure keynote slots, panel positions, and executive speaking opportunities to position leadership as recognized industry experts.
- Build, nurture, and maintain strong, long-term relationships with external stakeholders, media partners, corporate clients, and affiliate organizations.
- Work closely with marketing, product, and leadership teams to align external communications with commercial objectives.
- Define and track key performance indicators (KPIs) across both domains, including sales pipeline volume, deal conversion rates, share of voice, and press coverage reach.
- Maintain detailed records and pipeline data in CRM systems and media contact databases.
