Job requirement:
- Educational Background: Hold a Bachelor's degree or higher in law from a well-known Cambodian university. Holding a lawyer 执业资格 is preferred.
- Work Experience: At least 3–5 years of experience in a company as legal counsel or in a related position, with successful experience in direct communication with Cambodian government agencies such as the Ministry of Labor.
- Professional Knowledge: Deep understanding and proficiency in Cambodian "Labor Law" and its practice; familiar with Cambodian commercial contract law, foreign investment law, etc.
- Language Skills (Core Adjustment): Must be fluent in Khmer and English (written and spoken). Possessing Chinese (Mandarin) communication skills will be a major plus and come with a salary advantage.
- Personal Abilities: Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills; ability to work independently, possessing outstanding analytical and problem-solving abilities.
Job Description:
- Legal Compliance and Consultation: Provide management with timely and accurate legal advice on Cambodian labor law, commercial law, tax law, etc.; draft, review, and revise various commercial contracts and internal company rules and regulations.
- Government Relations and Communication: Act as the company’s main contact with relevant Cambodian government agencies (especially the Ministry of Labor, Ministry of Commerce, Tax Bureau); handle all government permits, registration, and annual inspection matters.
- Labor and Personnel Affairs: Fully responsible for handling employee labor contracts, labor disputes, disciplinary actions, and other matters; represent the company in labor arbitration and litigation.
- Risk Control and Dispute Resolution: Identify and assess potential legal risks in the company’s operations and develop prevention strategies; manage external lawyers, handle litigation and arbitration.
- Corporate Governance and Training: Assist in handling company secretary-related affairs; provide regular legal knowledge training for management and employees.
