Senior Platform Engineer

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

Platform Design & Engineering                    

• Design, deploy, and maintain Kubernetes clusters (on-premises and/or cloud) supporting production banking workloads.                    
• Build and manage container runtimes, service meshes and ingress controllers.                    
• Engineer highly available, fault-tolerant infrastructure platforms adhering to NBC regulatory requirements and internal SLA targets.                    
• Maintain platform component versions, patch cycles, and upgrade runbooks.              

CI/CD & DevOps                    

• Design and operate CI/CD pipelines (GitLab CI, Jenkins, ArgoCD) enabling automated testing, security scanning, and deployment of applications.                    
• Build and own the Internal Developer Platform (IDP), providing golden-path templates, self-service provisioning, and curated toolchain integrations                    
• Collaborate with development teams to define container image standards, Helm chart conventions, and deployment patterns.                    
• Champion shift-left practices: integrate static & dynamic application security testing, image vulnerability scanning, and policy-as-code into pipelines.                    
• Infrastructure as Code (IaC)                    
• Define and implement infrastructure-as-code (IaC) using tools such as Terraform, Ansible                    
• Automate infrastructure provisioning and configuration.                    
• Maintain reusable IaC modules and standards.                    

Observability & Reliability                    

• Own the observability strategy: define standards for metrics, structured logging, distributed tracing, and synthetic monitoring across all platform tiers.                    
• Lead P1 / P2 incident response as Incident Commander for platform-layer outages; ensure timely stakeholder communication and RCA delivery within 48 hours                    
• Implement and test disaster recovery (DR) procedures for platform components, aligning with RTO/RPO objectives                    

Capacity Planning & Cloud Strategy                    

• Lead Wing Bank's hybrid cloud strategy: define workload placement criteria, cloud provider evaluation frameworks, and migration playbooks.                    
• Evaluate Cambodian cloud service providers; advise on NBC compliance, SLA fitness, and cost-efficiency relative to on-premises alternatives.                    
• Produce annual infrastructure capex/opex forecasts and present budget recommendations to IT leadership and finance stakeholders                    

JOB REQUIREMENTS

• Certified Kubernetes Administrator (CKA) — CNCF                                    
• AWS / GCP / Azure Associate or Professional level certification                                    
• Terraform, Ansible,                                     
• Minimum 6–8 years of progressive experience in platform engineering, infrastructure engineering, SRE, or DevOps roles                                    
• At least 3 years of hands-on, production-level experience with Kubernetes at scale (100+ nodes or 500+ concurrent workloads).                                    
• Understanding TCP/IP, Routing Protocols, VLANs, Trunking, Quality of Service, Policy Based Routing, LAN/WAN, 
• WLAN Connectivity, DHCP, and DNS"                                    
• Demonstrable experience leading technical teams or acting as tech lead on complex, multi-stakeholder platform initiatives.                                    
• Proven track record delivering platform improvements that materially improved reliability, security, or developer productivity with measurable outcomes.                                   
• Prior experience in regulated industries — banking, fintech, insurance, or telecoms — is strongly preferred.                                    
• Experience with NBC regulatory requirements, PCI DSS, or ISO 27001 compliance programmes is a significant advantage.
