Position Summary

Position : ICT Senior Officer

Department : Operation

Reports to : Senior Operations Manager

Supervises : ICT Officer

Responsible for managing EBC’s Learning Management System (IOMAD + Moodle), network infrastructure, and server systems to ensure platform stability, security, and performance. Perform other duties assigned by Line Manager.

Working Hours: 8:00am to 5:00pm (Monday to Friday and Half Saturday once or twice a month)

Duties & Responsibilities

• LMS Platform Management
• Manage IOMAD + Moodle configuration.
• Oversee user accounts, roles, and permissions.
• Maintain plugins, themes, and updates.
• Ensure LMS security and system integrity.
• Technical Support & Troubleshooting
• Provide advanced technical support to users.
• Diagnose and resolve complex system issues.
• Escalate issues to developers when necessary.
• Reporting & Analytics
• Generate LMS usage reports.
• Monitor user activity and system performance.
• Analyze data to improve platform effectiveness.
• Network Infrastructure Management
• Manage Mikrotik Router and network switches.
• Maintain NAS Server and storage systems.
• Ensure network stability and security.
• Training & Consultation
• Develop LMS training materials.
• Conduct training sessions.
• Advise instructors on effective LMS usage.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Network Engineering, or a related field.

Work History

• Hands-on experience in LMS administration and network infrastructure management for 3 to 5 years

General & Technical Skills

• Certifications (Preferred): Moodle Certified Administrator, MikroTik Certified Network Associate (MTCNA), or CCNA.
• LMS Administration: In-depth experience configuring, updating, and maintaining IOMAD and Moodle platforms, including plugin management, custom themes, role mapping, and permission schemes.
• Network & Systems Engineering: Proficiency in configuring and troubleshooting MikroTik routers, managed switches, and Network Attached Storage (NAS) systems; strong command of network protocols (VLAN, DHCP, Routing, VPN).
• System Security & Integrity: Proven ability to implement LMS access controls, manage network security, set up automated NAS backup routines, and patch software vulnerabilities.
• Data Analytics & Reporting: Competency in extracting LMS metrics, tracking user activity, analyzing system performance, and synthesizing raw data into actionable insights.
• Technical Support & Escalation: Advanced tier-2/tier-3 troubleshooting skills with the ability to diagnose complex system errors and interface effectively with external software developers.
• Instructional Support & Facilitation: Demonstrated capacity to design documentation, create LMS user guides, and train instructors on effective digital learning tools.
