Applied AI Engineer

Job Description

We are looking for an Applied AI Engineer with 2–3 years of hands-on technical experience to join the Engineering & Technology team, reporting to the Technical Director. This role blends platform and integration engineering with applied AI solution design: you will build and configure integrations across AITranx's product suite (Gateway, Box, Agents, Enterprise AI), and apply these products to solve real business use cases for internal projects and customers. You will work closely with Engineering, Product, and (where needed) the Solutions/Presales team to design, build, and validate AI-powered integrations end to end.

Responsibilities

   AI Platform & Integration Engineering 

• Configure, deploy, and maintain integrations between AITranx products (Gateway, Box, Agents, Enterprise AI) and customer or internal environments (APIs, databases, enterprise applications, LLM providers). 
• Support platform reliability, testing, and technical documentation for deployed AI integrations. 
• Work with the Technical Director and Engineering team to troubleshoot integration issues and feed real deployment learnings back into product and platform improvements. 
  Applied AI Solution Design 
• Design practical AI architectures (multi-vendor gateway integration, on-prem AI appliance deployment, AI agents, enterprise system integration) tailored to specific business use cases. 
• Build and deliver proof-of-concepts (POCs) and technical demonstrations that show how AITranx products solve real business problems. 
• Translate business requirements — gathered directly or via the Solutions/Presales team — into technical specifications and implementation plans. 
  Technical Ownership & Collaboration 
• Work directly with the Technical Director on technical standards, architecture decisions, and platform roadmap input. 
• Partner with Solutions/Presales, Product, and Delivery teams to ensure proposed and delivered solutions are technically sound and feasible to build. 
• Document technical designs, integration patterns, and lessons learned to build reusable internal knowledge. 
• Stay current on AITranx product updates and the broader AI/LLM landscape (new model providers, RAG techniques, agent frameworks) to keep designs and integrations technically current.

Requirements

    Must-Have 

• 2–3 years of experience in a technical/solutions engineering, systems integration, applied engineering, 
  or DevOps-adjacent role (IT, cloud, telecom, or software industry). 
• Hands-on experience with APIs, system integration, and enterprise IT infrastructure (cloud and/or on
  premises). 
• Working knowledge of AI/LLM concepts and architecture (e.g., API gateways, RAG, AI agents, vector 
  databases), with willingness to go deeper hands-on. 
• Demonstrated ability to understand and map business/operational process flows (e.g., customer service, document 
  processing, approval or back-office workflows) and identify practical points for AI integration. 
• Ability to both build technical integrations yourself and communicate designs clearly to technical and 
  non-technical stakeholders. 
• Comfortable working directly with engineering teams, and supporting customer-facing technical 
  discussions when needed. 
• Good command of English (spoken and written); Khmer fluency preferred for local market engagement. 
  Nice-to-Have 
• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) or on-premises infrastructure/data center projects. 
• Familiarity with AI/LLM providers (OpenAI, Claude, Gemini, DeepSeek, Qwen), RAG pipelines, or vector 
  databases. 
• Scripting or programming skills (e.g., Python, API testing with Postman) for integration and validation 
  work. 
• Experience supporting technical presales, tenders, or enterprise deployments in banking, telecom, 
  government, or large enterprise sectors.
