Workplace Circumstances

Position Summary
Duty station: Phnom Penh, with frequent travel to target farms
Reports to: CEO/Founder
Duties & Responsibilities
- Financial systems and control
- Establish accounting policies, approval procedures, cost centres, and internal controls for head office, farm, and provincial operations.
- Review the general ledger, bank accounts, payroll, inventory, fixed assets, and month-end reconciliations prepared by the finance team.
- Investigate financial irregularities, control weaknesses, shortages or suspected misuse of company funds.
- Budgeting, cash flow and cost management
- Lead annual and seasonal budgeting and cash-flow forecasting based on approved operational and production plans.
- Monitor expenditure against budgets by farm, province, project and commodity.
- Analyse production costs and margins for chilli, vegetables and chicken and recommend corrective financial measures.
- Financial reporting and compliance
- Prepare accurate monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements and management reports.
- Report significant budget variances, cash flow concerns, outstanding balances and financial risks.
- Coordinate tax compliance, statutory reporting, banking requirements and external audits.
- Transaction oversight
- Review payment packages and authorise or submit them for approval according to delegated authority.
- Verify budget availability and financial compliance for procurement packages prepared by the Administration and Procurement Officer.

Qualifications
- Master's Degree
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, Banking&Finance, Business Administration or related field.
Work History
- Relevant finance or accounting experience for 7 years as a minimum
- A supervisory or management role for 3 years as a minimum
General & Technical Skills
- Professional accounting qualification such as ACCA or CPA is preferred.
- Minimum 7 years of relevant finance or accounting experience, including at least 3 years in a supervisory or management role.
- Strong knowledge of accounting, budgeting, cash-flow management, internal controls, financial reporting and audit preparation.
- Practical knowledge of Cambodian taxation, statutory compliance and payroll requirements.
- Experience with multi-site operations, inventory accounting, fixed assets and agricultural or production costing is strongly preferred.
- Ability to analyse budgets, production costs, profit margins, variances and financial risks.
- Proficiency in accounting software, QuickBooks, Microsoft Excel and digital financial-reporting systems.
- Good written and spoken Khmer and English.

- Willingness to travel when financial verification or operational support is required.
