Position Summary
Reports To: Senior External Auditor / Audit Manager
We are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Junior External Auditor to join our growing team in Phnom Penh. In this entry-level role, you will assist in executing audit engagements, performing financial analysis, reviewing client documentation, and supporting the team in ensuring compliance with relevant Cambodian accounting and tax regulations.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Audit Execution & Fieldwork:
- Assist in performing audit procedures, field testing, and detailed examination of financial documentation under the supervision of senior team members.
- Prepare clear, organized, and accurate audit working papers and supporting schedules.
- Perform analytical procedures and verification of account balances, transactions, and internal control records.
- Reporting & Assistance:
- Assist Senior Auditors in drafting audit findings, summarizing control weaknesses, and compiling working papers for client deliverables.
- Help gather, format, and organize client data required for financial statement preparation and reporting.
- Compliance & Support:
- Support compliance checks in accordance with Cambodian Financial Reporting Standards (CIFRS / CIFRS for SMEs / CFRS for NFPEs) and applicable tax regulations.
- Assist in cross-checking client tax declarations, invoices, and accounting records for compliance and accuracy.
- Professional Development & Team Collaboration:
- Work closely with senior audit staff and managers to learn audit methodologies and professional standards.
- Participate in team meetings, training sessions, and client discussions as required.

Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, Auditing, or a related field (fresh graduates or final-year students are welcome to apply)
General & Technical Skills
- Enrollment in or intent to pursue professional qualifications (such as ACCA or CPA) is a plus.
- 0 to 2 years of experience in accounting or auditing. Prior internship or entry-level experience in an audit firm is an advantage.
- Basic understanding of accounting principles, audit procedures, and Cambodian Financial Reporting Standards (CIFRS / CIFRS for SMEs / CFRS for NFPEs).
- Good proficiency in MS Office programs (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
- Basic knowledge of accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks) is a plus.
- Fluency in Khmer and good working proficiency in English (written and spoken).

- Good interpersonal and communication skills for team collaboration and basic client interactions.
