As a Data Engineer Intern at Sertis, you will gain hands-on experience building and supporting data pipelines for real-world projects. You will work alongside experienced data engineers to collect, transform, and organize data from different sources, while learning how reliable data systems support analytics and AI solutions. This internship is an opportunity to apply what you’ve learned to practical data engineering projects while developing your technical and collaboration skills.

In this role, you will get to:

• Manipulate data from different sources
• Select and integrate any Big Data tools and frameworks required to provide requested capabilities
• Implement ETL process
• Monitor performance and advise any necessary infrastructure changes
• Work within a team supporting software & data system development, training and integration & test infrastructure
• Identify and solve business challenges utilizing large structured and unstructured data from different sources
• Get hands-on experience with tech industry real use cases, pertaining to data engineering for AI/ML and an opportunity to present your work to the whole engineering department
• Get involved in great discussions in the data world with an international team
• Get hands-on experience with Containerization technologies in the industry like Docker and Kubernetes

You'll be successful if you have:

• Currently studying for a Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or any related fields
• Knowledge of SQL database maintenance and Python
• Basic knowledge of containerization technologies and Docker
• Basic knowledge of big data technologies such as Spark, Hadoop, or Hive
• Good communications skills; ability to work independently or in a team environment
• Interested in public cloud technologies
• Able to quickly learn new technologies
