Network Infrastructure Engineer

Job Responsibilities

• Install and maintain network hardware and support relevant network business operations to support the company key services and ensure that the services for Smart subscribers run in 24x7 mode in a protected manner.
• Commission and decommission network hardware by processing relevant checklists.
• Support the hardware operation by timely responding to upcoming alarms.
• Support monitoring systems that look after the network environment of the company
• Run cabling works involving fiber and copper lines in technical facilities of the company
• Compile and run change requests related to the network environment, run user acceptance tests upon completion.
• Cooperate with other departments to facilitate their demands related to security policies, monitoring, statistics collection etc. 
• Support other Infrastructure colleagues to run their change requests.
• Provide troubleshooting support to internal colleagues when problems relate to the network area
• Fill in data into IP address management tool for proper handling of the IP space of the enterprise
• Take regular backup of network hardware configuration.
• Establish and support site-to-site VPN connection
• Support IPLC and IP transit connections of the company and effectively communicate with ISPs in case when any issues are found
• Raise ideas to the team on solving systematic issues and improving the network infrastructure practice
   

Job Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in IT, Telecom and Networking or related field
• 3 years of hands-on experience with routers and switches configuration
• 1 year of experience related to the BGP protocol
• Understanding of TCP/IP knowledge
• Understanding of load-balancing and dynamic routing techniques
• Good in English, both written and spoken
