Finance Supervisor

Job Description

The Finance Supervisor serves as an analytical powerhouse, driving commercial finance, financial reporting & planning, and margin protection within our business. This position operates with partial focus on ledger bookkeeping and month-end account closing. Instead, you will focus heavily on providing critical commercial analysis, preparing monthly reporting, preparing annual budget and quarterly rolling forecast.

Responsibilities:

1. Commercial Finance and Decision Support

• Evaluate pricing models, promotional ROI and promotional structures to protect contribution margins
• Track post-promotion performance by outlets & portfolios
• Provide performance comments and actionable insights to relevant stakeholders
• Validate all-tier distributor rebate/incentive to ensure correct payout

1. Reporting, Budgeting, Rolling Forecast and Variance Analysis

• Partner with department head/key persons to build annual budgets and quarterly rolling forecasts
• Provide data accuracy and manage timing discipline in preparing QBR (Quarterly Business Review) data and presentation deck
• Prepare monthly variance analysis by products and provide insightful comments
• Prepare volume, net sales, dashboard and P&L monthly reporting

1. Accounting and Internal Control

• Assist in streamlining reporting tools i.e. ERP system (Microsoft Business Central)
• Perform bookkeeping of manual journal entries including accruals, deferrals, depreciation and other correcting entries arising from reconciliations
• Prepare and monitor tax reporting to track the contribution to government
• Assist in coordination of external audits and tax audits

Job Requirements

• University degree in accounting, finance or a related field
• Minimum 3-year progressive experience in accounting and finance role, highly preferred in FMCG company, showing sound knowledge of accounting, financial reporting and analysis
• Own good analytical skills
• Good understanding of ERP system. Having experience in using MS BC is a plus.
