Full-Stack Developer

Job Description

We are looking for a capable and self-directed full-stack developer to join our Phnom Penh team. You will work across our product stack, from building and maintaining backend APIs to developing clean, functional web interfaces for our lender clients and internal operations teams. You will collaborate closely with the founding team and our data science team to turn product requirements into shipped features.
This role is well-suited to someone who is comfortable operating in a startup environment, takes ownership of their work end-to-end, and is excited about building technology that has a meaningful impact on rural financial inclusion.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain RESTful APIs and backend services using Python (FastAPI or Django) and Node.js
• Develop responsive, functional web interfaces using React and Next.js for our lender-facing dashboards and internal tools
• Integrate with third-party data sources including credit bureau APIs, satellite data pipelines, and eKYC services
• Write clean, testable code and participate in code reviews
• Collaborate with the data science team to expose ML model outputs through product interface
• Contribute to database design, query optimization, and infrastructure decisions
• Support deployment, monitoring, and troubleshooting of production systems
• Work directly with the COO and product team to translate requirements into working software.

Requirements

• 3+ years of professional software development experience in a full-stack or backend capacity
• Solid proficiency in Python, with experience in FastAPI or Django
• Experience with Node.js for backend or API development
• Comfortable building production-grade interfaces with React and Next.js
• Strong understanding of REST API design, relational databases (PostgreSQL preferred), and data modeling
• Experience integrating with external APIs and third-party services
• Familiarity with version control (Git), CI/CD pipelines, and cloud deployment (AWS or GCP)
• Ability to work independently, manage your own priorities, and communicate clearly with a small team
  Nice to Have
• Exposure to geospatial data, GIS tools, or mapping libraries (e.g. PostGIS, Mapbox, Leaflet)
• Experience building data dashboards or visualization interfaces
• Background in fintech, lending platforms, or financial service
• Familiarity with machine learning model integration or data pipeline tools
• Prior experience working in a startup or early-stage product environment
