Job Purpose

To plan and deliver effective Mathematics lessons in line with the Cambridge IGCSE curriculum, developing students’ mathematical knowledge, logical reasoning, problem-solving, and analytical skills.

Duties & Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver Mathematics lessons aligned with the Cambridge IGCSE syllabus.
• Teach key topics, including numbers, algebra, geometry, mensuration, statistics, probability, and graphs.
• Develop students' mathematical reasoning, problem-solving, and critical-thinking skills.
• Prepare lesson materials, exercises, assignments, revision activities, and examination practice.
• Assess students' progress and provide constructive feedback to improve their understanding and performance.
• Prepare students for Cambridge IGCSE Mathematics examinations and develop effective examination techniques.
• Identify students' learning needs and adapt teaching methods to support different abilities.
• Use appropriate teaching resources and technology to make Mathematics lessons engaging and effective.
• Maintain a positive, organised, and supportive classroom environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Mathematics, Mathematics Education, or a related field

General & Technical Skills

• .Experience teaching Cambridge IGCSE Mathematics is preferred.
• Good command of spoken and written English.
• Strong knowledge of Mathematics concepts and the Cambridge IGCSE curriculum.
• Good classroom management, communication, and organisational skills.
• Ability to explain mathematical concepts clearly and prepare students for examinations.
