Job Purpose
The Energy Field O&M Engineer is responsible for the operation and maintenance of energy-related infrastructure within the telecom network. This includes ensuring the efficient and reliable operation of power systems, renewable energy installations (if applicable), and energy monitoring systems. The role focuses on optimizing energy consumption, reducing operational costs, and ensuring the continuous power supply to critical telecom equipment.
Job Responsibilities
- To do preventive maintenance and maintenance of power equipment: rectifier system, ATS, hybrid system, solar panels and controller module, and grounding system as approved schedule.
- To do preventive and troubleshooting of climate systems like air conditioning and cooling systems.
- To install power supply system equipment like rectifier system, ATS and battery
- To do expansion and reshuffle power supply system
- To run mobile generation backup sites in case of an EDC outage.
- To replace power supply equipment such battery, rectifiers, UPS, and Solar Panels
- To do fuel arrangement for Diesel and Gasoline Generator
- To dispatch technicians to sites
- To do PAT on power supply system
Job Requirements
- Diploma & Bachelor’s Degree in Electricity, Electronics, Mechanical, or IT
- Good Communicable in English, both read and write
- Experiences in operation and Maintenance of Transmission, Radio and power supply
- Experiences on operation and maintenance, troubleshooting related to the telecommunications sector.
- At least 2-3 years experiences in Field operations
- Able to operate, install, maintain, and troubleshoot electrical systems in the telecom field.
- Good communication among colleagues and team-building spirit.
- Able to travel to provinces and work at night.
- Have driving license (able to drive car)
- Knowledge and ability to diagnose technical problems and ensure continuous improvement of both the quality of service delivered and the network's operational efficiency
- Knowledge and ability monitoring, including the verification of performance, inspection of the works and ensuring adherence to quality, costs and timelines
- Knowledge and ability to initiate, plan, execute, and monitor projects.
- Knowledge and ability to maintain telecommunications systems and equipment to ensure effective operational performance and continuity of service.
