- Position Purpose
The Accounting Supervisor is responsible for supervising the daily accounting operations of the company, ensuring accurate financial records, timely reporting, proper documentation, and compliance with company policies and applicable Cambodian tax and accounting requirements.
The position will work closely with management, HR & Administration, Procurement, Project/Operation teams, clients, suppliers, and external accountants/auditors.
- Key Responsibilities
A. Accounting Operations
- Supervise daily accounting transactions and accounting staff.
- Review and verify invoices, receipts, payment requests, expenses, and supporting documents.
- Ensure accurate recording of income, expenses, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger transactions.
- Monitor cash and bank transactions and perform regular bank reconciliations.
- Review monthly accounting closing and ensure transactions are recorded correctly and on time.
- Maintain proper and organized accounting records and supporting documents.
- Ensure proper filing of invoices, receipts, contracts, payment documents, and other financial records.
B. Accounts Payable & Accounts Receivable
- Monitor supplier invoices and payment schedules.
- Review payment requests before submission for approval.
- Monitor customer invoices and outstanding receivables.
- Follow up with relevant departments and clients regarding overdue payments.
- Prepare AR/AP aging reports and provide updates to management.
- Ensure payments are made according to approved company procedures.
C. Financial Reporting
- Prepare and review monthly financial reports.
- Prepare cash flow and cash position reports for management.
- Assist in preparing Profit & Loss, Balance Sheet, and other management reports.
- Analyze major variances between budget and actual expenses.
- Provide financial information and recommendations to management when required.
- Ensure reports are accurate and submitted within deadlines.
D. Budget & Cost Control
- Assist management in preparing annual budgets and financial forecasts.
- Monitor departmental and project expenses against approved budgets.
- Review project expenses and identify unusual or unnecessary costs.
- Support management in controlling operating costs and improving financial efficiency.
- Provide financial analysis for projects, events, and company activities when required.
E. Internal Control
- Establish and maintain proper accounting procedures and internal controls.
- Check that expenses and payments have appropriate approvals and supporting documents.
- Identify accounting discrepancies, errors, or potential financial risks.
- Recommend improvements to accounting processes and controls.
- Ensure proper segregation of duties within the Finance & Accounting team.
F. Team Supervision
- Assign daily tasks to accounting staff and monitor work progress.
- Review staff work for accuracy and completeness.
- Provide guidance, coaching, and training to accounting team members.
- Monitor staff performance and provide feedback to the Finance Manager/Management.
- Ensure accounting deadlines are followed.
G. Support for Management & Projects
- Provide financial information to management for decision-making.
- Work with Project/Operation and Procurement teams to monitor project budgets and expenses.
Review project quotations, purchase orders, invoices, and payment documents from a financial perspective.
- Assist in calculating project profitability and cost performance.
- Support management during financial planning and business reviews.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Minimum 3–5 years of accounting experience, with at least 1–2 years in a supervisory role.
- Good knowledge of Cambodian accounting and tax requirements.
- Strong knowledge of AP, AR, General Ledger, bank reconciliation, and financial reporting.
- Experience with accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
- Good analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to manage deadlines and work under pressure.
- Honest, responsible, organized, and trustworthy.
- Experience in an advertising, event, production, or project-based company is an advantage.
*** Preferred Skills
- Strong Excel skills, including formulas, Pivot Tables, and financial analysis.
- Experience with accounting software such as QuickBooks, Xero, or other ERP/accounting systems.
- Good understanding of project costing and budget control.
- Ability to communicate effectively with management, suppliers, clients, and internal teams.
- Good English communication skills; Khmer language proficiency is required.

- Salary: 500$ - 700$
- Working hour: 8:30am to 6:00pm, Mon-Saturday Half Day
- Holiday: Public holiday
- Bonus: Yearly incentive or KPI performance.
