Position Summary

Amrita is seeking a Research Analyst in Phnom Penh to join its Investment Research Team within Business Development. Reporting to the Research Manager, the role covers market research, financial modelling, valuations, investment presentations, asset performance monitoring and operational support.

• Support the Business Development and Investment teams in evaluating opportunities for Amrita FMCG District, including joint ventures, manufacturing projects and strategic partnerships.
• Conduct research on the food and FMCG sectors in Cambodia and regional markets to identify investment opportunities and industry trends.
• Develop financial models to assess project feasibility, funding requirements, cash flows and potential investment returns.
• Conduct valuation and scenario analysis to support investment decisions and deal structuring.
• Research prospective tenants, joint venture partners and target businesses to support due diligence and commercial assessments.
• Prepare pitch decks, investment memoranda and feasibility summaries for management, the Board and potential partners.
• Analyze market demand, production costs, supply chains and industrial property benchmarks to validate business plans and investment assumptions.
• Monitor the progress and performance of Amrita’s investment and development projects and prepare quarterly updates.
• Document key findings, assumptions and action items throughout the investment evaluation process.
• Provide ad hoc operational and project coordination support, working with internal teams to follow up on priorities and deliverables.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in finance, economics, business or a related field, with a strong academic record is required

Work History

• Finance, investment research, investment banking or buy-side investment roles for 2 years is required

General & Technical Skills

• Strong financial modelling and valuation skills, with proficiency in Excel.
• Excellent written and spoken English; Chinese proficiency is an advantage but not required.
• Experience in Cambodia or other regional markets is an advantage.
• Based in Phnom Penh, Cambodia.
