Job Description
. Manage departmental operating budgets and costs in accordance with annual allocations to ensure efficient and accountable use of resources
. Lead the annual target-setting process within the country Business Unit, ensuring implementation of global templates, coordinating review timetables, consolidating plans, and preparing budget presentations for the Senior Executive Team
. Monitor and analyze country Business Unit monthly performance using data sources including CORE, Crystal, and Prism, to provide a consistent and accurate picture of performance, key issues, and required action items
. Assist in preparing and presenting the Business Unit's monthly operations review to the Country Finance Manager
. Prepare comprehensive financial information to support the country Business Unit in contractual negotiations, client and customer profitability analysis, investment decisions, and issue tracking and management
. Deliver in-depth analyses and commentaries on key financial items including advertising and promotion spend, working capital utilization, and cost development to facilitate leadership discussions
. Prepare relevant analysis and insights to support country Business Unit strategy setting and strategic projects, including Mergers and Acquisitions (M&A) due diligence, restructurings, disposals, and joint venture negotiations
. Lead continuous improvement initiatives to streamline Business Unit controlling processes and reporting, driving efficiency through the better utilization of automated systems including Lighthouse, CORE, and MORE
. Manage internal stakeholder interactions across the country Business Unit on business controlling matters to ensure timely financial visibility and effective resolution of financial issues
. Partner with Group Business Unit controllers and local Country Finance Managers to drive consistency in analytics and reporting across markets
. Administrative duties and coordination tasks as required
Job Requirements
. Degree or professional qualification in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline
. Minimum five to eight years of experience in a similar role, preferably with country controlling exposure
. Minimum two to three years of experience in a managerial capacity
. Sound knowledge and understanding of business and industry dynamics
. Strong knowledge and application of financial and accounting principles, including budgetary management
. Hands-on experience with SAP accounting applications is an advantage
. Strong research and analytical skills, including statistical computations and data interpretation
. Proficiency in office productivity tools including Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
. Fluency in the local language; proficiency in English, both written and spoken, is an advantage
