Position Summary

Department : Operation

Reports to : Production Manager

Supervises : None

Working Hours: 8:00am to 5:00pm (Monday to Friday and Half Saturday once or twice a month)

Scriptwriter drives content creation and strategic insights for production and web platforms. This role is responsible for end-to-end script development—from concept and research to treatments and final revisions—working closely with the Producer to align with show format and tone. Perform other duties assigned by Line Manager.

Duties & Responsibilities

• Generate story ideas and story development through research, outline, treatment, final script and documentation.
• Work closely with the Producer to understand the show, format tone and characters.
• Draft scripts, present to the Producer and be able to take constructive comments professionally.
• Update and revise texts/articles on website/social media.
• Oversee the whole research processes.
• Conduct monitoring and evaluation on financial services and related projects.
• Conduct competitor and environment analysis by monthly.
• Identify market demand and market opportunity to contribute in the growth of the organization.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Khmer Literature, Mass/Media Communication or other related fields.

General & Technical Skills

• Experience in scriptwriting for entertainment drama or TV magazine.
• Knowledge and understanding of young people’s languages, slangs and trends, especially those in the rural areas.
• Published portfolio or writing samples that demonstrate unique writing style.
• Good in Khmer and English written and spoken language.
• Experience in script writing or reporting in media.
• Be creative/artful in writing.
• Good at research.
• Excellent working skills in MS-Office package.
• Active participation in all aspects of research studies and surveys.

Soft Skills

• Be able to communicate well with all staff and local communities.
• High motivation, initiative, willing and able to travel to the field.
