Position Summary
SALARY: DEPENDING ON EXPEREINCE AND LEVEL OF UNIVERSITY DEGREE

Duties & Responsibilities
- Job Expectations
- Teachers at AUPP are expected to work collaboratively in order to provide a positive educational experience for its students.
- Full time teachers are required to provide 20 hours of classroom instruction per week.
- Teachers are expected to hold “office hours” in order to provide individual help to students. These hours are not expected to be held outside the normal working day.
- Teachers will be asked to facilitate an after-class activity, such as a club or group pursuit. Examples of this may be a book club, Model UN, debate club, Art Club, etc. The time parameters of this expectation will be determined by the activity. Stipends will be paid based on time expectations.
Languages
- English - Fluent
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in reflecting intimate knowledge of English literature and language
Work History
- English teaching experience for 3 years is preferred
General & Technical Skills
- Able to teach students the intricacies of research writing. Knowledge of the AP (Advanced Placement) curriculum is a plus but not required.
- Teaching certificate is a plus, but not required.
- Be a native English speaker (mandatory)
- ESL Certificate is a plus, but not mandatory
Soft Skills
- Have excellent communication skills
- Be passionate about learning and teaching
