Solar Technical Manager

Workplace Circumstances

Duties & Responsibilities

• Project Oversight: Lead the teams in technical delivery for all projects
• System Design: Lead engineering teams in drafting layout, electrical schematics, and sizing for on-grid or hybrid solar rooftop systems.
• Regulatory Compliance: Ensure all installations align with local grid codes, safety standards, and EDC interconnection requirements.
• Project Oversight: Coordinate site works, manage technical staff, and implement quality assurance and quality control (QA/QC) protocols.
• Technical Support: Troubleshoot complex performance issues with inverters, mounting structures, and storage solutions.
• Operations & Maintenance (O&M): Draft preventive maintenance schedules and troubleshoot critical inverter or grid connection failures.

Languages

• English - Good
• Chinese - Good is preferred

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Electrical engineering, Electronics, or Renewable Energy

General & Technical Skills

• Minimum 3–10 years of experiences working in solar EPC firms or renewable energy projects
• Technical Skills: Proficiency in PV design software, inverter configurations, and battery storage solutions.
• Local Knowledge: Understanding of the Cambodian renewable market and grid interconnection rules.
• Communication: good in English (prefer Chinese speaking)

Soft Skills

• Travel: willing to travel to provinces if needed
