Head of Accounting

About the Role

In this strategic leadership role, you will oversee end-to-end accounting functions, finance operations, and capital management across our multifinance and P2P lending entities. You will drive finance transformation by partnering with technical teams to automate complex reporting processes, establish robust financial controls, and ensure strict compliance with PSAK and OJK regulations. Ultimately, you will mentor a high-performing team and collaborate with executive leadership to optimize funding strategies, supporting the scalable growth of GoTo Financial Lending products.

What You Will Do

• Accounting & Reporting Leadership: Lead the accounting functions across all lending entities, ensuring accurate financial closing, complex transaction treatments (ECL, write-offs), and compliance with PSAK and OJK regulations with zero material audit findings.
• Finance Operations Management: Oversee end-to-end operations including disbursements, repayments, and settlements for products like GopayPinjam and GopayLater, establishing scalable processes and ensuring SLA achievements.
• Finance Transformation: Develop and execute a technology roadmap to automate month-end closing, reconciliations, and reporting by partnering with Product, MIS, and Engineering teams.
• Funding & Capital Operations: Manage lending capital availability, forecast funding requirements, optimize capital allocation, and oversee the onboarding and operational readiness of new lender partnerships.
• Governance & Compliance: Maintain strict regulatory compliance for Multifinance and P2P Lending businesses, acting as the primary coordinator for internal/external audits, OJK regulatory inspections, and lender due diligence.
• Risk & Financial Control: Establish a robust financial control framework to ensure record accuracy, identify operational and financial risks, and implement effective mitigation strategies across all entities.
• Strategic Leadership: Lead and mentor high-performing finance teams while serving as the primary finance representative to external stakeholders and partnering with Executive Management to drive strategic business decisions.
• Educational Background: A degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience. A professional accounting certification (such as CPA, CA, or ACCA etc.) is a plus.
• Industry Experience: 10+ years of experience in leadership or senior roles within accounting. Familiarity with the Fintech, Banking, Multifinance, or P2P lending sectors is highly advantageous.
• Regulatory Familiarity: Working knowledge of Indonesian accounting standards (PSAK) and OJK regulations, or a strong capacity to quickly learn and adapt to the regulatory landscape of Multifinance and P2P lending.
• Systems & Automation Experience: Experience participating in or guiding finance transformation initiatives. Familiarity with collaborating alongside technical teams to design scalable finance systems or automate reporting processes is very helpful.
• Capital Management Exposure: Experience navigating funding operations, corporate treasury, or capital planning, along with a comfort level in collaborating with banks, institutional lenders, and strategic partners.
• Audit & Risk Operations: Experience supporting, establishing, or maintaining financial controls, as well as navigating external, statutory, and regulatory audit processes.
• Collaborative Leadership: Strong communication and cross-functional teamwork skills, with experience presenting financial insights to leadership teams and engaging constructively with external stakeholders like regulators and investors.
