Position Summary
Reporting to: Digital Marketing and Media Lead
Probationary Period: 3 months
Contract Duration 12 months
The role of the Assistant Video Editor is to assist the production of engaging, attractive, innovative content video materials for online and offline platforms following Marie Stopes International Cambodia (MSIC) brand identity and brand book/guidelines. He/she will also design some materials and content needed for overall marketing and communication use.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Produce MSIC’s video materials
- Work with Graphic Design & Production Senior Officer to maintain and troubleshooting audio, video, and lighting equipment
- Support and participate in the production of video materials, and operating camera or recording if required
- Ensure the quality of the video materials are in line with MSIC’s brand book/guidelines
- Handle video post-production duties ensuring timely delivery
- Report video production project status and KPI/metrics to the Senior Officer on a weekly basis
- Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of MSIC’s video material displays and broadcast and take onboard findings to design future materials
- Participate in events organized by MSIC and implementing duties delegated by the line manager.
- Participate in innovative designs
- Collaborate with the team and support designing content marketing for social media, website and other channels if required
- Help bring new ideas for design and content creation to the team using your expertise and eye for great design
- Work with the team to create image/carousels/GIF posts for online platforms
- Work with the team to create thumbnails for videos, static posts, carousel, photo slideshow, photo album and other materials required for MSIC’s service delivery points and events
- Other tasks assigned by line manager
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree is preferred
General & Technical Skills
- College experience is preferred but not necessary
- Ability to use Photoshop, Illustrator, Adobe Premiere, Davinci Resolve and other design/video editing applications
- Experience in video production and editing
- Experience in graphic design is a plus
- Basic understanding of social media and the tools
- Understanding of sexual reproductive health and safe abortion
- Be creative and have a good visual sense
- Effective communication through active listening and good questioning techniques, ensuring information is clear and concise.
- Confident in facilitating online discussions on safe abortion and other sensitive topics among women and men, including youth and people with disabilities
- Know how to attract audience with designs
- Understand what online audience are interested in and the current trends
