The Junior Accountant will support the financial department by performing daily data entry, maintaining accurate financial records, and assisting with the preparation of monthly reports. This role focuses on the foundational aspects of bookkeeping and ensuring all documentation is organized and compliant.

Responsibilities

  • Data Entry & Bookkeeping: Perform daily posting of bills and sales invoices into QuickBooks, ensuring all accounts and amounts are recorded accurately.
  • Account Reconciliation: Assist in weekly and monthly cash and bank reconciliations to ensure internal records match bank statements.
  • Documentation: Handle the filing and organized checking of all financial documents provided by clients or internal departments.
  • AR/AP Tracking: Monitor and track Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable to ensure timely payments and collections.
  • Reporting Support: Assist in extracting data to produce weekly and monthly financial reports for review by senior management.
  • Tax Assistance: Provide administrative support during the preparation of monthly and yearly tax returns.
  • Month-End Support: Support the accounting team in meeting deadlines for month-end closing procedures.
  • Communication: Coordinate with clients or other departments to gather missing information or clarify basic transaction details.
  • Other Tasks: Perform additional administrative or accounting duties as assigned by management.

Requirements

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (Fresh graduates are encouraged to apply).
  • Experience: 0–1 year of experience in accounting or bookkeeping (Internship experience is a plus).
  • Technical Skills: * Basic knowledge of computerized accounting systems (e.g., QuickBooks).
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, with a focus on MS Excel (formulas, data entry).
  • Knowledge: Understanding of basic accounting principles (Debits/Credits) and an interest in learning local taxation.
  • Languages: Fair to Good command of the English language.
  • Soft Skills: High attention to detail, a strong desire to learn, and a commitment to accuracy.
