Position Summary
Report to: Head of Marketing and PR
Working day: Mon - Sat (8:00am - 5:00pm)
The Media Officer is responsible for capturing the vibrant life of the CITA Institute and translating it into compelling visual and written content. This role focuses on multimedia production, social media engagement, and supporting the broader marketing team in building a strong digital presence. The ideal candidate is a creative storyteller with strong technical skills in photography, video editing, and content creation.
Duties & Responsibilities
- . Content Creation & Multimedia Production
- Photography & Videography: Capture high-quality photos and videos of campus events, classroom activities, student testimonials, and graduation ceremonies.
- Editing: Edit raw footage and photos into professional promotional videos, short-form reels (TikTok/Facebook), and high-impact graphics using Adobe Creative Suite or similar tools.
- Storytelling: Develop creative concepts and scripts for video content that highlights student success stories and the benefits of TVET education.
- . Social Media & Community Management
- Platform Management: Daily management and posting on CITA’s official channels, including Facebook, TikTok, Telegram, and LinkedIn.
- Engagement: Respond to comments and messages in a timely and professional manner, fostering a positive online community.
- Trend Monitoring: Stay up-to-date with local social media trends in Cambodia to ensure CITA’s content remains relevant and engaging for the youth demographic.
- Media Relations & PR Support
- Press Materials: Assist the Head of Marketing and PR in preparing media kits, press releases, and distributing content to local media outlets.
- Event Support: Act as the primary media coordinator during institutional events to ensure all key moments are documented and shared in real-time.
- Archive Management: Maintain an organized digital library of all photos, videos, and media appearances for future marketing use.
- Monitoring & Reporting
- Performance Tracking: Monitor the reach and engagement of social media posts, providing weekly reports on content performance.
- Brand Consistency: Ensure all visual and written content strictly adheres to CITA’s brand identity and messaging guidelines.
Languages
- Khmer - Fluent
- English - Good
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Media Communications, Journalism, Fine Arts, Graphic Design, or a related field.
General & Technical Skills
- Proficiency in Adobe Premiere Pro, After Effects, Photoshop, or Lightroom.
- Professional fluency in Khmer and a good command of English (especially for social media copywriting).
- A portfolio or link to previous video/photography work is required for application.
Soft Skills
- Creative mindset with a sharp eye for detail. Ability to work independently in the field and meet tight deadlines for content delivery.
