Job Description

Position Profile The Head of Department drafts the position profile (PP) with support of Human Resource and reviewed by General Manager. - Reports to Operation Supervisor - Reports via dotted line to General Manager - Organizational unit Operations - Company (to be selected if this role is in one legal entity only) Main Tasks / Key Activities (Prioritize 8-12 major areas and main tasks/activities. This list is not exhaustive) - Responsible for day-to-day coordination, execution and tracking of sea import, export as well as transshipments. - Liaise with oversea offices and agents. - Prepare of essential shipping documentation on a daily basis. - Follow up and updating customers on their import/export shipments. - Communicate with carriers, terminals, customs brokers, truckers and oversea agents. - Ensure all shipment documentations are compliant with customs rules and regulations. - Maintain effective relationships with clients, carriers, forwarders, customs etc. and ensure an impeccable service. - Troubleshoot challenges that might affect the operational activities. - Negotiate and book cargo with shipping lines. - Complete customs clearances and ensure full compliance to any relevant regulations. - Manage documentation flows; This includes all operational transactions such as bills of lading (B/L), packing lists, commercial invoices and certificates of origin, licenses etc. - Coordinate the collection/delivery processes and manage this until the final destination according to customers’ requirements. - Work in a small, harmonized team and cover all aspects of the forwarding process. - Other ad-hoc tasks, urgent duties and projects as well as assignments.

Job Requirements

What Will Make You Successful: - Diploma or Bachelor Degree in Logistics Management, Supply Chain, or a related field. - Minimum 2 years experience in the logistics or freight forwarding industry, preferably with exposure to air and/or ocean freight. - Proficient in English; Chinese language skills are an added advantage. - Willing to learn, hardworking, self-motivated, and able to work independently. - Presentable, responsible, and customer-oriented with strong interpersonal and communication skills. - A collaborative team player.
