Senior Accountant

Description

 Manage and review daily accounting transactions and journal entries.
 Ensure all financial transactions are accurately recorded and properly supported.
 Review invoices, payment vouchers, receipts, and other accounting documents.
 Maintain the general ledger and supporting schedules.
 Ensure proper accounting procedures and internal controls are followed.
 Monitor accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions.
 Review supplier invoices and payment requests.
 Monitor customer outstanding balances and collection status.
 Conduct regular supplier and customer account reconciliations.
 Follow up on discrepancies and outstanding balances.
 Review daily cash and bank transactions.
 Prepare and review bank reconciliation statements.
 Review payment requests and supporting documents before processing.
 Ensure proper recording of bank and cash transactions.
 Prepare Profit & Loss, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow, and other management reports.
 Prepare accounting schedules and supporting documents for management review.
 Review accruals, prepayments, depreciation, provisions, and other adjustments.
 Reconcile general ledger accounts and investigate discrepancies.
 Ensure all month-end transactions are properly recorded.
 Ensure accounting records comply with applicable laws, regulations, and company policies.
 Assist in cost control and expense monitoring.
 Supervise and support Junior Accountants and accounting staff.
 Review and strengthen internal accounting controls where necessary.
 Support management in improving accounting processes and procedures.

Requirements

 Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
 Professional accounting qualification such as LCCI, ACCA, CPA, or equivalent is highly preferred.
 Minimum 3–5 years of relevant accounting experience.
 Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting.
 Good knowledge of Microsoft Excel and accounting software/ERP systems.
 Strong analytical, numerical, and problem-solving skills.
 Good leadership and communication skills.
