Duties & Responsibilities

• Site Assessments: Conduct thorough evaluations of potential installation sites, including land or rooftop assessments, to determine solar exposure and feasibility for solar energy systems.
• System Design and Layout: Develop comprehensive system designs, including detailed layouts for solar panels, wiring, inverters, and battery storage solutions, ensuring optimal performance and compliance with engineering standards.
• Performance Simulations: Execute computer simulations using specialized software (e.g., PVsyst, Helioscope) to predict system performance and energy output under varying conditions.
• Compliance and Safety Checks: Ensure all system designs and installations adhere to local safety regulations, electrical codes, and industry standards, conduct necessary inspections and risk assessments.
• Documentation and Reporting: Prepare detailed documentation and reports for project stakeholders, including design specifications, performance analysis, and compliance verification.
• Project Collaboration: Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams, including construction, sales, and operations, to ensure seamless project execution and alignment with client expectations.
• Troubleshooting and Maintenance: Assist in diagnosing and resolving operational issues in existing solar installations, providing support for preventive maintenance and performance optimization.
• Continuous Improvement: Stay current with advancements in solar technology and industry best practices, contributing to process improvements and innovative design solutions

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Electrical engineering, Electronics, or Renewable Energy
• Master's Degree is preferred

Work History

• Solar EPC firms or renewable energy projects for 2 to 3 years as a minimum
