JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

  • CDC and Data Streaming (Core)
  • Design, build, and maintain real-time CDC pipelines from Oracle and PostgreSQL to Oracle, Kafka, and Big Data platforms using Qlik Replicate, Debezium, and Oracle GoldenGate (OGG).
  • Install, configure, troubleshoot, and support CDC replication across different Oracle Database versions and tool releases.
  • Manage Debezium connectors on Kafka Connect, including snapshots, offsets, and schema changes.
  • Work with Kafka topics, partitions, and consumer groups to ensure reliable, ordered, and scalable data delivery.
  • Build and support data flows in Apache NiFi for routing, transforming, and loading streamed data.
  • Monitor end-to-end pipeline health, replication lag, throughput, and data consistency between source and target, and resolve issues quickly.
  • Upgrade CDC tools and re-set up replication without any data loss.
  • Execute near-zero-downtime migrations of Oracle databases (on-premises and cloud) using CDC tools, including OGG Microservices.
  • Automate deployment, monitoring, and recovery of streaming pipelines through scripting.
  • Document pipeline designs, SOP, and recovery procedures.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

  • Education
  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, preferably in Computer Science.
  • Technical Requirements
  • Minimum of 4 years of experience with Oracle Database.
  • 3+ years of experience implementing and maintaining Change Data Capture (CDC) replication across multiple Oracle environments using tools such as Qlik Replicate, Debezium, and Oracle GoldenGate (OGG).
  • Proficiency in engineering and managing CDC and replication technologies, including:
    • Qlik Replicate: configuring tasks, endpoints, and full-load plus CDC pipelines, and monitoring latency and errors.
    • Debezium: deploying and managing connectors on Kafka Connect, handling schema changes, and resolving offset or snapshot issues.
    • Oracle GoldenGate 19c/21c: setting up GoldenGate Microservices replication (Oracle to Oracle and Oracle to Big Data), troubleshooting issues, and maintaining trail files in ACFS/DBFS.
    • Experience with Kafka, Apache NiFi, and Big Data clusters as CDC targets and streaming platforms.
    • Experience in database architecture, problem diagnosis and resolution, shell scripting, PL/SQL development, and backup and recovery.
    • Ability to troubleshoot Oracle database problems that originate in the supporting infrastructure, including application servers, network, storage, and operating systems.
    • Experience upgrading, patching, and migrating databases.
    • Experience writing scripts to automate routine database and replication tasks.
    • Strong skills in building complex SQL queries.
