Position Summary

The position is to reinforce its Grants Office Service.

The Grants Officer works under the supervision of the Head of the Grants Office and supports the management of IPC’s institutional and research grants portfolio. The role contributes to strengthening IPC’s grants management and fundraising capacity by supporting the coordination, administration, and continuous improvement of grant related processes and research management support.

Recruitment conditions:

  • Contract: The initial contract is offered for 1 year (renewable).
  • Start Date: Available to start as soon as possible.
  • Remote Work: Possibility to work remotely, subject to job role and management approval.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Manage the identification, screening, and dissemination of funding opportunities relevant to IPC research priorities
  • Maintain and update internal databases related to funding programs, applications, and awarded projects
  • Assist researchers in preparing grant applications, including administrative documentation, budget preparation, and submission through funder portals
  • Support grant onboarding and follow-up, ensuring effective coordination between research, administrative, internal, and external stakeholders
  • Ensure compliance with administrative, financial, and reporting requirements throughout the project lifecycle
  • Support the setup and processing of grant agreements and collaborative research contracts, in coordination with relevant internal and external stakeholders
  • Contribute to the development of grants management workflows and templates, as well as the maintenance of up-to-date internal guidelines for fundraising and sponsored collaborative research management

Languages

  • Khmer - Good is required
  • English - Good is required
  • French is preferred

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in international affairs, business administration, management, or a related field. A background in life sciences would be an asset
  • Master's Degree
  • Phd in biomedical sciences and experience in project management or research administration are encouraged to apply

General & Technical Skills

  • Proficiency in Khmer and English is required; French may be beneficial.
  • Experience in grants management, research project coordination, fundraising, or research administration would be a plus.
  • Certification or demonstrated training in project management, grants management, or advanced Excel is an advantage.
  • Good understanding of research administration, grants management principles, and the full grant lifecycle.
  • Ability to support proposal development, funder requirements, budget inputs, and submission processes with accuracy and consistency.
  • Strong attention to detail, with the ability to ensure complete and high-quality inputs for proposals, reports, budgets, administrative records, and compliance documentation.
  • Strong organizational and data management skills, including the ability to track several applications, deadlines, deliverables, and reporting obligations.
  • Good command of online collaborative tools and funder portals.
